February 4 World Cancer Day

With the purpose of raising the awareness of the population, increasing self-responsibility and promoting the changes 
necessary to make cancer a controlled chronic disease, Cuba joins, every February 4, the celebration of World Cancer
 Day.
Specialists agree that it is necessary to increase the awareness of the population to join the research tests available in
 the National Health System, in addition to promoting self-care and the practice of healthy lifestyles, which contribute to
 reducing risk factors associated with the disease.

A few hours after the 126th anniversary of the Resumption of the struggles for independence, our president Miguel 
Díaz-Canel, calls to honor the date of the resumption of the struggles for the independence of Cuba.

 The president, through a message on his Twitter account, highlighted the importance of the so-called Necessary 
War, led by José Martí, Máximo Gómez and Antonio Maceo, to end Spanish foreign rule.
